Enterhealth Ranch is located in Van Alstyne, Texas, just south of Sherman in Grayson County. Our private residential facility provides addiction and mental health treatment for patients from Sherman, Denison, and surrounding North Texas communities.

Why choose residential addiction treatment near Sherman?

Receiving residential treatment close to home can make it easier for families to remain involved while still allowing patients to step away from everyday routines and focus on recovery.

Enterhealth Ranch combines the privacy and structure of residential care with physician-led treatment, advanced diagnostics, integrated mental health services, and individualized recovery planning, all within a short drive of Sherman.

Can family members in Sherman participate in treatment?

Yes. Family involvement can be an important part of recovery, and Enterhealth Ranch’s proximity to Sherman can make participation more convenient for local families.

Enterhealth offers family education, therapy, and support as clinically appropriate. Our team can discuss opportunities for family participation and help loved ones understand what to expect during treatment.

Can Enterhealth help Sherman residents plan for admission?

Our admissions team can explain the admissions process, answer questions about Enterhealth Ranch, and help you understand what to expect before arriving for treatment.

We’ll also discuss treatment options, costs, and other considerations so you can make an informed decision before beginning care.

What types of addiction and substance use disorders does Enterhealth treat?

Enterhealth treats substance use disorders involving alcohol, opioids, prescription medications, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methamphetamine and other stimulants, marijuana, and other substances.

We also treat patients who use multiple substances or have co-occurring medical or mental health concerns. Because every patient’s circumstances are different, treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to determine the appropriate level of care and develop an individualized treatment plan.

Does Enterhealth treat mental health conditions?

Yes. Mental health and substance use are often closely connected, which is why psychiatric care is integrated into Enterhealth’s treatment model.

Our clinical team evaluates and treats co-occurring mental health concerns alongside substance use rather than treating them as completely separate problems. Treatment is personalized around each patient’s diagnoses, symptoms, history, and overall health.

Does Enterhealth provide medical detox?

Yes. Enterhealth provides medically supervised detox within our residential treatment program for patients who need help safely managing withdrawal from alcohol, drugs, or certain medications.

Patients receive 24/7 medical and clinical support during withdrawal and stabilization, with medications used when clinically appropriate to help manage symptoms, improve comfort, and reduce withdrawal risks. Once stabilized, patients can transition directly into ongoing addiction treatment based on their individual needs.

Does Enterhealth offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT)?

Yes. Medication-assisted treatment may be incorporated into a patient’s treatment plan when clinically appropriate.

Depending on the substance involved and the patient’s individual needs, medications such as Suboxone®, Sublocade®, Vivitrol®, and naltrexone may be used to help manage withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings, prevent relapse, and support continued recovery. Medication is integrated with medical, psychiatric, and therapeutic care rather than used as a standalone treatment.

Do I have to know what kind of treatment I need before calling?

No. You don’t need to determine whether you need detox, residential treatment, outpatient care, or another service before contacting Enterhealth.

Our admissions team will learn more about your situation, answer your questions, and help determine what level of care may be appropriate. If additional clinical evaluation is needed, that can be incorporated into the admissions process.

Can I contact Enterhealth for a family member?

Yes. Many conversations with Enterhealth begin with a parent, spouse, partner, adult child, or other loved one looking for help for someone they care about.

Our admissions team can discuss the situation with you, explain potential treatment options, answer questions about the admissions process, and help you understand possible next steps even if your loved one has not yet agreed to enter treatment.

Contact Enterhealth to speak confidentially with our admissions team. We’ll learn more about your situation, answer questions about treatment and payment, and help determine the appropriate next steps for you or your loved one.
