Families in Recovery: Wraparound Treatment is a Must for All

In this webinar, Dr. Mendez will discuss how addiction treatment is most effective when the family seeks care for themselves at the same time their loved one enters treatment. She will emphasize the importance of making "support for recovery" mean helping, not enabling, and will talk about ways to achieve this. Family roles in the addict's family, the family's dysfunctional traits along with their resulting stress-filled symptoms should be utilized in their own assessment and subsequent treatment plan that can include individual and family therapy, plus several families joining together in group therapy.
