Addiction Treatment: Michigan Alcohol Screening Test (MAST)
One of the most widely used measures for assessing alcohol abuse, the MAST is a questionnaire designed to provide a rapid and effective screening for lifetime alcohol-related problems and alcohol addiction. The 23-question self-test may help you become aware of your use or abuse of alcohol. MAST has been productively used in a variety of settings, including residential addiction treatment programs, with varied populations.
To take this test, carefully read each statement and decide whether your answer is yes or no. Please select the best answer that reflects how each statement applies over your whole life.
Please note: This test will only be scored correctly if you answer each one of the questions.
* This assessment is not a diagnosis and should not be used as such. Only you can determine if you have an addiction to alcohol and drugs.
